Use DVD Shrink to rip the DVD, use ImgBurn to write it, and make sure that the DVD that you are writing to is a dual layer one- otherwise it wont fit.

You have to compress the file down to size first, then burn it. Generally, bring it down to about 4.3GB.

Wrong about the dual layer right on everything else. Check the guides if you need to. It will rip disks and compress them down to a single layer size as a iso file. The preferred burn tool for videos is ImgBurn. It is without a doubt the best burn app for quality of the burn. The only 'tricky part' is have the output go to Nero unless you can find the modified version that burns to ImgBurn. That is no big deal both output a iso disk. Make sure the delete files when done is turned off.

You Need To Find Out If Your Burner is a Dual-Layer? This Can Be Done By Installing Imgburn on Your Computer. It Will Detect The Burner. It Can Even Check For Udated Firmware. Win7 x64 SP1 is Probably A Data DVD, so Nero Burning Rom Can Burn that. You Never Say What Copy Programs You Have.
