Hi,

I used DVD Shrink over the weekend to tried and insert deleted scenes back into the movie where they belong but ran into a problem. I used the start/end frame options to insert the deleted scenes and then back to the movie and continued this process till I had about 20 or 30 titles. When I selected all the titles and played them on DVD Shrink they all played fine and bled into the original movie perfectly. Until, I burned the actual disc. After I burned a copy of my finished project and played them on my computer and dvd player there were 2 or 3 second pauses between the movie before and after where I inserted the deleted scenes. Is there a program that I can combine both the original movie and the deleted scenes into 1 title a play flawlessly without the annoying 2 or 3 second pauses? I would GREATLY appreciate any help!!

Thanks!

It's because the Re-authored movie is now split into multiple Titles VTS_01 VTS_02 etc).

The VOBs can be joined and new IFO and BUP files created using VobEdit and IfoEDit.
FixVTS is used to ensure the files are DVD compliant (a compliant project will load into DVD Shrink with no error message).

Use a copy of your existing DVD folder as a work copy.
Create a new, empty folder on the desktop.

These are my notes, cribbed from a forgotten source.

In the working copy VIDEO_TS folder (source folder), rename the .VOB files to 'VTS_01_001.VOB' then 'VTS_01_002.VOB' in increasing numerical order.

Run VobEdit:
Click 'Open' > select VTS_01_001.VOB from the source folder.
Click 'Edit' > 'Join Clips'.
Use the default name for the new file (VTS_01_1.VOB) but select and save it to the new folder.
After the source files have been joined with the new name, exit VobEdit.

You now have a new folder with the new VOB file(s) (no IFO files)

Run IfoEdit, click 'Create IFOs'.
Locate the new folder and open it.
Accept the defaults and 'OK' (I.E. the new IFO and BUP files will be in the same folder as the VOB files from VobEdit)

At this point, either exit IfoEdit and use FixVts on the new files or continue in IfoEdit.

On the top pane, highlight VIDEO_TS.IFO then click 'Get VTS sectors' when process is finished, note that the top pane changes to show the oldversion on top and the new version below.

Highlight VTS_01_0.IFO in the last line and click 'VOB Extras'.

Options

[ ] Strip Streams'
[ ] Strip VobID's
[X] Correct Vob-Unit (Navigation Pack) pointers in VOB-files
[X] Correct original IFO files

VOB EXPERT Options

[X] Remove P-Uops
[X] Remove Macrovision
[X] Adjust Vob-Unit pointers.
[X] Adjust Audio/Subp point.

Also, uncheck
[ ] Auto-copy Menu Files to destination

Click "OK", and when it's done click "Save".
It will offer to overwrite the IFO, say 'Yes'.

Test the new title by using VLC to navigate through the chapters.

Or instead of all the fuss with Ifoedit simply use join mode/seamless - append titleset in DVD2One which contrary to Shrink will put all titles into one titleset withou any pauses during playback.
