Hi Guys, I am having a problem with ripping a movie ( another one ). I insert movie,Anydvd scans disk, I open DVD shrink 3.2, click on Re-author,movie title appears in "Devices and Removable Storage". What happens then I don`t know. Under compression settings is the movie title, under the movie title:-
Name Type
Audio_TS File Folder
Video_TS File Folder

I am using AnyDvD 6.7.6.0, DVD Shrink 3.2, DVD Decrypter and Nero Smartstart essensials.
I asked the forum for help sometime ago to no avail. I do not know what to do to put this right, do I create a folder somewhere ? do I change some settings ? I really am at a loss as to what I should be doing.

The Video_TS files are the movie files itself. What are you trying to do under re-author?

Hi rtm27,
I am not trying to do anything with the Video_TS files under Re-Author. let me explain fully so that you can see the problem. As an example I am using "The Last Samurai" for ripping ( I purchased my own copy ). I load the disk into the D: drive tray, AnyDVD scans it,Click on DVD Shrink to open it, click on re-author. Under Devices with removable storage, Movie Title:-The_Last_Samurai_Disc...CD Drive, Click on this title.Below Compression settings:- The_Last_Samurai_Disc_1 (D:). Under that:-Menus, Heading, Title Menus and VTS_I, Under that:- Title 1,Under that:-Extras :- Title 2.
I move Movie Title 1 over to DVD Structure and Shrink starts analysing then encoding.
This is normal with, The Last Samurai, Iron Man (1) Avatar, But with Iron Man 2, Prince of Persia and The Expendables, I get Audio_TS and Video_TS, I cannot get compression settings, no title to move over to DVD Structure, only that which I descibed earlier. I Hope you can help me as I have no idea what to do. All I am trying to do is rip movies
as I have descibed to you in the first part of this reply. Thank you.

Hi Heybob1,
Go to Slysoft and get CloneDvD2, 21 day free trail. Made to work with AnyDvD.
Should do those movies. Shrink will not handel alot of the newer movies.
Happy Backing Up!!

Shrink is not the problem, since he's using AnyDVD in the background to deal with the copy protection. That said, I don't exactly get what is the problem here. If it's a regular DVD it will of course have both VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders but when you click on reauthor Shrink will not show these folders but only the titles present in the VIDEO_TS folder.

In case they're not just post some screenshots (in png format) or rip the disc with AnyDVD first and then encode with Shrink from harddisk.

My daughter and I are having the same problem as the OP.

AnyDVD to decrypt and Shrink to rip. When trying to re-author we only get video and audio ts. No movie chapters.

I'll try the rip with AnyDVD as mentioned.
