Is it possible to backup a DVD onto my hard drive as one file that i can then playback through a media player?

Thanks, but where is that setting? I found that if I go to- Edit/Preferences/Output Files and uncheck split VOB into 1gb chunks. I can then delete all files besides the movie and it still plays. Are there any problems that i may encounter with this?

Yes, so how about using the pulldown menu in Backup > Select Target and set it to ISO?
