To say the least this one had me going....
I backup my movies as DVD and AVI
DVD Backup
I did this same process for Gamer and it works. I tried getting most of the files but there were issues in the process so I decided to do just MainMovie.
Use RIPit4ME and choose MainMovie and once you have that then open DVDFab 6.0.2.2 and select Customize or MainMovie. Point the source to the RIPit4ME folder and then Start to copy. Use VOBlanker or FixVTS to check for other issues
Now use DVDShrink to backup
AVI BACKUP
This was more of an effort since when you IMPORT the VIDEO_TS.IFO file in to AVS Editor 4.1 and check the properties you are very restricted compared to other movies.
I've been very busy this weekend backing up 2012, Up in the Air, Precious and Old Dogs and this is the order of difficulty to make an AVI.
There were issues with the VIDEO_TS file and it took multiple tries when I ran DVDFab OR RIPit4ME by themselves on this movie then making an AVI before getting the file working in AVI with the combined process.
NOTE:
Each week is something new and I thought DVD backups were a challenge, but it can be more effort to get an AVI made but saving the space in DVD cases is so much better. A 1TB harddrive can hold up to 1100 movies or more depending on the size of each file. Most times I use AVS Video Editor but sometimes I use DVDFab 'DVD to Mobile'. I also keep multiple versions of DVDfab installed on my PC in case one version doesn't work an older version might. When you install them add to the folder name the version so make things easier and rename the desktop icons the same way.

I tried to burn Precious using the latest AnyDVD and DVD Shrink 3.2. The result was that there was not enough space on the disc to burn. Then I tried DVDFAB HD Decrypter and VOB Blanker and FixVTS. The result was an error due to PGC 31 (132 Mb with 17 titles). I tried skipping VTS 31 but the error persisted. Am I missing something? I had a similar problem with 2012 but that was corrected on the second try with VOB.
I fixed the problem and the DVD copied perfectly. What I did was delete all the Precious DVDFAB files and the Precious VOB files. I then turned AnyDVD ON and ran DVDFab HD Decrypter. I ten ran FixVTS in the Full DVD mode after dragging in all the VTS files. I then shut down AnyDVD and ran VOB Blanker. When completed, I ran DVD Shrink 3.2 using the newly created Precious VOB files. The disc burned perfectly. I hope this helps someone since everything I used, excepy AnyDVD, is freeware.

Try using AnyDVD Ripper to get the files to your HDD. Right click the "Fox head" icon and then rip. You should then be able to process with VobBlanker and then Shrink if those are the programs of your choosing. Also there is no need for FixVTS if you have already used VobBlanker.
