Yep the ripper in anydvd is not going to work either, thing is even if you have clone dvd 2, you will be getting this message: E:/VIDEO_TS/VTS_09_1.VOB:read error The system cannot read from the specified device if reading the media has failed, please clean the surface and try again.(file 1 E:/VIDEO_TS/VTS_09_1.VOB 30 Picture Reader.

So it seems to be a nasty encryption righ in the begining of the movie.
I did backing it up using Mac the Ripper movie only and burning with DVD2one (of course on a Mac)

I used Ripit4me which took around 2 1/2 hours to complete. It came up with Dvd shrink and I chose Re Auth and picked the title that was the largest (Title 27). Dragging the title over to the left side. It went on its merry way and dvd decrypt came up. I copied the movie out to a blank disk.

The outcome was that this movie will not play in my Sony blue-ray player, but it will play in my Pioneer dvd player.

Has anyone encountered this happening to them? The movie plays fine on an ordinary dvd player just not in a blue-ray player.

THat would not seem to be logical if many people using different copies of the DVD are having the same problem, would it?

All I can say is that I tried 2 Different DVD's, both played fine on the home DVD player, but neither one could be backed up with ANYDVD or DVDFAB
