I also am having a problem trying to get the "right" title to rip this as main movie using dvd fab 6.2.1.8 This is usually not a problem when you play the movie in a dvd player, all you do is wait for the movie to play and push display and that will give you the correct title to use as the main title.

Not from me i'm afraid, as per usual we in the UK have to wait due to the Mafia i mean Media companies playing their stupid lottery of international movie release dates, just checked and we don't get this one until 25/01/2010, a shame as unlike most stuff produced these days this one looks amazing.
6.2.1.8 is the latest for DVDFab and i can't see anything on it mentrioned in the AnyDVD changelogs.
edit- there's a new Beta for DVDFab just come out, nothing specific for Meatballs though ~ http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/583712/4994471 but it's always worth a try.
Just looking thru this one to see if there's any clues for DVDFab ~ http://club.myce.com/f116/cloudy-chance-meatballs-no-rip-307057/ - yep, there's a few success stories in there, some people have had luck with older versions too.

I used AnyDVD 6609 and then Shrink 3.2 to do the movie only with no problems.
IIRC, for me (region 1) title 1 is movie in 2.35:1 (anamorphic widescreen) and title 2 is movie in 1.78:1 (16x9).
Each of title 1 and title 2 had 2 additional angles that I ignored.

Got quite a big of junk on it. If using DvdFab, turn Pathplayer to Always Enable and rip Main Movie in you're preferred viewing choice. (Full or Wide screen)
Absolutely process this one with either VobBlanker or FixVts; VobBlanker being better choice IMO.

I don't know that DvdFab HD Decrypter (free version) can handle this one yet. I'll have to give it a run tonight and check. Check the disc and make sure there are no obvious scuffs/scratches.
With Pathplayer always enabled it will increase the time it takes to analyze the disc.

Well I got some advice from Ideal DVD but I can't even get the movie to play on my computer for some reason. Maybe the disc IS deffective but looks perfect. I might just have to tie a M80 to it.

Are you trying to rip the full disc or just main movie? With all the junk on this one you may want to try doing movie only in either widescreen or fullscreen.

7th, I just want the widescreen only. Man this thing is going to kill me, never had this much trouble EVER! My problem though is I have never bought software for decryption, I'm a cheap SOB, that might be part of it. I might just put this disc away and come back to it a couple of weeks from now when more people have backed up. Thanks for the help, sorry for being a PIA.

No offense meant dmsuchy, but without proper tools one can have a difficult time achieving said goal. This one probably has too much on it for a low-caliber outfit like Ideal or the hundreds of others out there like it.
As it stands you may find yourself waiting for HD Decrypter to update. Which happens less frequently than it's pay-for counterpart.

Creaky, yep went through the thread and even tried the new beta of DVDfab, I think 7th is right on this one, I might have to wait till either smart people, i.e. you, or a new version of a program comes out before I can back this up. Here is a link to ideal dvd
http://www.idealdvdcopy.com/
worked great with a couple of the last movies of mine that DVDfab would'nt work with.
I did contact DVD fab and they just told me to update to thier 12/31/2009 version which I already used.
Thanks again guys.
By the way here was the response by the Ideal people
Dear Don Suchy,
By checking the files, we find there's some bad parts in the movie dvd, you may play the DVD on your drive D and pay attention to title 1 chapter 28 to confirm this. It shouldn't be played well without any flaw. Sometime the bad sactors do not mean visible or obvious scratch on the disk surface. The disk may have bad sectors even if it's scratch-less. Also some other DVD drive are more capable of error correction.
Now, please play the movie dvd on your computer by DVD Player Software. When the playing start, please close your DVD player software, keep the dvd in drive, and then use Ideal DVD Copy to copy it again. This time, you may use "Only the Main Movie" Copy mode, and choose Title 2 to copy. (This DVD has two main moive titles, Title 1 and Title 2, you can play the original movie dvd to see what the difference between them). By the "Main Movie" mode, the copied dvd will have the main movie and the menu, it can be fit for your request. Try it and Good Luck.
Btw, if you still can not copy on this Drive D, then please try to copy it from another DVD drive or computer. Maybe you can succeed.
Happy New Year,
Yam - Customer service representative

Seem like nice people, I had forwarded them the info they wanted from the disc through their program. Funny thing is I couldn't even get the disc to play on my PC and tried 3 diffrent trial DVD player software. WERID, plays great on my Panny DVD player though.

I do post this fairly often but it's always worth repeating. Not all optical drives are equal, some read better than others. It's always good to have more than one drive at your disposal, if possible.
