After backing up a movie using shrink and dvdcryter the movie, matters not which one, freezes, pixelates and skips parts of the movie. sometimes during the start , sometimes 25% sometimes 50% sometime 75%. I am using memorex R+, but it happens on R- also. I have tried burning with nero, i have used DVDFab 4 and 5, ripit4me. i have removed and reinstalled all programs, dvdshrink, dvdcryter, ripit4me, dvdfab 4 and 5. have not tried imgburn yet. any help would be appreciated . thanks in advance
I assume that the movies that have been ripped and Shrinked to the HDD playback without any problem using your media player.
Buy some Verbatim brand disks that say 'Advanced AZO' on the package.
Don't buy their range of 'Value' line disks.
Burn with ImgBurn at a moderate speed setting.
DvdFab has updated to versions 6 and 7 respectively (though i'm still a fan of 5.0.4.0, a very stable version though not able to cut all new encryptions)
And i can only second Attar's expert advice. If you want good backups, you need good blank media, and Verbies are.
Imgburn is nearly all i use now for burning. It's a freeware burn-engine that does a great job.
