The last update was in 2004.
This is an out and out ripoff.
Kneecapping comes to mind.

6 years later, and the ripoffs keep coming. Guess since dvd shrink is still used for compressing movies, might as well start a few scams about being a "new and improved update" for it. Guess in a few months we will start seeing people asking us about dvd shrink 2011.....then 2012....

/something ironic about pirating warez from people trying to make a buck off someone elses name.

I'm a bit late in replying, just noticed your post on "dvd shrink 2010".I'm transferring all my dvd library to a 2TB desktop drive.I've done about 500 movies with the Old version of dvd shrink,so,it's not my first Rodeo.
So I thought I would try the NEW version.I think I've been "done" for $28. The new version is slower, clunky, and still unstable.I've used in two pc's ,both big fast machines.Same result in both,it's twitchy.
Hope you have good luck, I'm going back to the Old version. Cheers. Silver.

There's no 'Maybe' about it. It is indeed a scam and you have most certainly been ripped off. I'm just clarifying that (yet again) so new members or people passing thru don't take your 'it does work' seriously, we wouldn't want anyone being scammed by reading your post.
I've added Chetwood's link to the DVD Shrink sticky.

people really are totally retarded aren't they?.. not only do they fall for these sacms every day they then come along and try to justify their moronic behaviour by reporting the scammer theftware actually works (as it's a stolen old app I'm not surprised it works.. shrink always has) and then try to encourage others to get ripped off just the same..
and then we get them saying "well I haven't tried it yet but it's updated so I want to" regardless of all the warnings posted on just about every dvd site worldwide about THIS SCAM!!!! They deserve to get ripped off.. for their stupidity.. send me $29 and I will send you my FULL WORKING version of shrink.. it's got a "new" gui and a few new buttons.. mmmmkay?.. oh yes.. and I will need you to input your credit card details into MY site to pay before you try.. seems sensible... and I need a new Ferrari.
it beggars belief.. shrink is free.. it has always been free.. it will always be free.. and unless you like reverse engineering and coding it will never be updated in any way....
If you want the same thing with improved functionality (tho why the hell you would need anything new in it?.. it works as designed) you can always learn to code dvd rippers and start from the source code for xdvdshrink.

Thanx guys for the many responses of support verification. If bringing this ripoff to everyone's attention has saved them from wasting $28.00, it's made my day.
