I have installed the trial version of Nero9 (full version). But I am unable to burn a copy of the DVD using DVD Shrink. I am running Windows 7 Pro-64. DVD shrink seems to be running fine, but it tells me to install Nero. I already have, but it apparently is not being recognized. I am also running AnyDVD. Any ideas on how I can get this thing to work?

You used to have Shrink at first...then Nero as a newer down-load.
Well, you still have the old set-up for Shrink now, wich is not recognizing the new Nero.
Un-instal Shrink and Re-instal it again, but fresh. Do not forget to delete your Shrink exe first.
1.-Start > Search > All Files and Folders > Write: Prefetch on the first box > Search > dobble click the Prefetch Folder > Find the DVD Shrink.exe File and right click it > Delete.....Close the Search Window.
2.-Uninstal DVD Shrink.
3.-Re-Instal Your 100% Fresh DVD Shrink.
NOTE: I think Nero 9 already come with DVD-Shrink as part of it !?
Or DVD Shrink and Nero can be pair it as Nero 6 do !?
If I tell you the truth...I am not sure !
But anyway.....you can get the job done: Manually !

DVD Shrink is not part of Nero. Nero Recode is, which can do exactly the same thing/or better than DVD Shrik.
@egghead12
If you have installed Nero 9 just to burn DVDs, its'a waste of time and hard disk space. Just use ImgBurn, one of the best DVD burners, and it's free.
You can download the version of DVD Shrink that automatically burns with ImgBurn(same way it would with Nero).
I am not sure if the autoburn function works with Nero 9, but I wouldn't even bother trying to figure it out.

If for whatever insane reason you're stuck on using Nero, might as well use Nero Recode, forget DVD Shrink. Nero Recode will do it all, shrink and burn, and probably faster.

That's because the Nero morons apparently changed registry entries so Shrink is unable to find it. Just use ImgBurn as everybody else suggested.

Thanks for the help! I am now using Nero recode instead of DVD Shrink. It seems to work just fine. Thanks again!

It always baffled me why people that have Nero, never use Nero Recode, instead use DVD Shrink, then try to burn with Nero and all that...Nero Recode is actually one of the better parts of the entire Nero package. If you install a monster like Nero, might as well learn to use it.Plus, Recode should be improved, more efficient than DVD Shrink.

Well, I've yet to see comparisons on the net confirming that.

I really don't care if there are any "official" comparisons on the net or not...Recode is faster for me, and has some extra features like merging several titles into one after editing.
The author of DVD Shrink wrote code for Nero Recode after ending DVD Shrink's development, so you think in the process he didn't improve the transcoding algorithm at all?

The Creators of DVD Shrink and Nero are the same People....of course Nero Recode should be better than DVD Shrink and more improve since is newer.....right ?

Denies, where? Only a blind man cannot see that Nero Recode is an old DVD Shrink with a different interface. Almost same features, different colours...

I don't know about Nero 9, and I am not talking about the entire Nero package, but only about the Recode, which probably is.

Back then on the Digital Digest forums and in emails to me when I was working with him on the German version of Shrink.

Which I doubt given how royally Nero managed to screw up the formerly best burn program out there.
