I used DVD Decrypter to to rip a DVD in IFO mode. I only want the movie. It worked but won't burn. It says it can't find file. I tried using DVD Shrink but it gives me the same message. What am I doing wrong in creating a source file . I go into my c drive, create a folder with the film title and folder under that that says VIDEO_TS. I just errors and can't read and doesn't exist. Can someone give me a detailed explanation of how to do this. I also tried creating an ISO file in DVD Decrypter but Shrink couldn't find that either. What am I doing wrong?

You are not using RipIt4me method like it should be:
the Job of RipIt4me Program is to link the others programs together and Analyze the DVD, etc.
RipIt4me > Decrypter rip > DVD Shrink > Decrypter Burn
Well....
Open DVD Shrink > Re-Author > double click Local Disk (C:) > Double click "Movie Name" or Video_TS Folder > Double Click: Title 1....let the movie to be Mounted to DVD Shrink and keep going till you done.
Hope this help.

Create a folder called VIDEO_TS, have decrypter save the ripped files in that folder. Once done, run shrink and choose file--open, browse to the folder you created and choose the VIDEO_TS.IFO file to import the files.
Shrink can also be used to backup the movie only using the re-author mode as stated.
You can also use DVDFab HD (free) to do it as well.

You can try using shrink with DVDFab Passkey(free) to increase the chances of a successful backup, install and then use shrink.

Thanks for the answer.
I did what you said. I created a VIDEO_TS folder. I used that as the destination for DVD Decrypter. It read it the disc fine and ended successfully. I went to DVD shrink, clicked on OPEN FILES. I get the message:
DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
Failed to open file "C:\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO"
The system cannot find the file specified.
Am I still doing something wrong?

I was using DVD Decrypter and you see what happened. I just downloaded DVD Fab and tried with that. It worked. I am trying another disc now.

I have a question about DVD Fab. I want to get rid of the FBI warning at the beginning of the DVD. I check the box that says it will get rid of it but I still get it. I understand the pathfinder has to be on. I can't find where to turn it on or off. I assume the default is "on" and I have not changed that so I guess it is on. Any suggestions?
Thanks

The easiest way to do that (IMHO) is to open the files created by DVDFab using shrink, then re-author the DVD backing up the movie only, then use the Start/End frames feature to tell shrink when (or at what point) you want shrink to start the backup (for you it's after the FBI warnings..) and at what point you want shrink to stop the backup.
this should help if you haven't tried it

There are other ways, but this one uses software you already know.

Hey!
I have ripped successfully with DVD shrink, however recently i went to play a movie from them on the computer - and all the audio files seemed to be missing. I then checked the others - 15 or so, and realised that all the audio files are now missing from the movies. The video will play, just no sound. Doctore Parnasssus was the last movie i ripped. Would have that done anything? PLease help!
thanks!
