Hi Guys and Gals,

I managed to get a back-up of Westworld (quality film by the way) from a friend and wanted to get a copy of it.

I ran the disk through DVD Shrink and the analysis finished in a split second. The left pane (video) shows MAIN MOVIE and a size of 0.01mb, the right pane (audio) says not compressable.

If I try to back-up the disk, a file of 0.04mb is created, which unsuprisingly doesn't work.

I then tried running the disk through DVD Decrypter. This created an ISO file (4kb) and a WINRAR type file (3.5gb). I attempted to open the ISO and the WINRAR with DVD shrink with the same results as above.

Finally, I attempted to extract the files from the WINRAR and open them with DVD shrink which resulted in a structure error (my desktop is out of order so don't have exact error, sorry). If I remember rightly, DVD shrink moaned about the VTS files or some such thing.

I don't want to burn the DVD, I am currently in the process of converting all my DVDs to DIVX to store on hard drive, so need the VOB file to run through AUTOGK.

Hope this is enough information for someone to help me to get the film.

Thanks in advance. Craig.

If your source is a burned DVD, you should be able to drag the VIDEO_TS folder off the disk onto the desktop.

Can I convert to DIVX with multiple VOB files? I have been running through DVD shrink to get a single file for conversion, would make things a little easier if I can. Do I need a specific conversion software to allow this?

Thanks for your time.

AutoGK can be used to convert DVD to AVI.
If you select VTS_01_0.IFO it will load all relevant VOB files and allow you to select any subtitle that exist.
Alternately, you can also select the first VOB of the title (usually, not always VTS_01_1.VOB) but the subtitles will not be shown or selectable.

Elect a custom size for the output.
