I have been using shrink on this computer with windows 7 for a year now and suddenly on trying to open the program I was getting an error message that said the program had stopped working and it would not open. I deleted, re-downloaded, and re-installed. Now no error message but the program will not open at all.
I found the answer in a post by "lollerson" that worked. Thank you for the post.
-click START,
-Right Click COMPUTER,
-select Properties, go to Advanced System Settings,
-then go to Performance... click on Settings,
-and then to: Data Execution Prevention (DEP),
-Select: Turn on dep for all programs except those I select,
-click on the Add... button.. browse to the DVD shrink .exe file.
-finally: restart if told to, then it should work.
