For some reason, the DVD Shrink w/IMG Burn that I downloaded from your site keeps freezing and not repsonding when I try to reauthor a DVD. Any ideas why this might be happening?
Also, I am currently using FreeDVD to remove protections but still wind up with movie files that show green screens and no content in DVD Shrink. Am I missing something? Is the movie there, or should I try another decryption program?

Thanks. Does DVDFab copy the file to hard disk then decrypt, or does it decrypt the original DVD as part of its extraction leaving the original disc without protections?

Ok, I sed DVD Fab and it extracted it nicely. I could all of the images in DVD Shrink when I processed it through there using the verion with IMG Burn. However, when I tried to play the DVD I had burned, all it showed were the warnings in the beginning, then it went black. The DVD wouldn't play, it just kept clicking back and forth and stalling, I couldn't move forward. Nothing. What happened???

I think I figured out it's because my windows media center on my laptop plays DVD-ROMS and I burned it to a DVD+R. But when I tried it on Windows Media PLayer it did the same. What am I doing wrong???? (This is so annoying.)

Does the output from DVD Shrink (it's either a folder or an image file) play ok on the PC.

Sorry, newbie, remember? How do I get the image file to play on the PC? WHen I clicked on it, the roxio installation popped up. I tried to play the burned DVD on my DVD player too, and it is totally messed up. Goes frame by frame, choppy output, or none at all. Terrible.
Also, back to my other question, what happens to the original DVD when I decrypt it with DVD Fab? Does it remain intact, lose protections? etc...

Nothing changes on the original disk - a commercial movie disk can't be written to.
Play the disks or video files using MPC Home Cinema - it's a better player than WMP.
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Media_Player_Classic_Home_Cinema
Or VLC.
Both are freeware, small and easily uninstalled if required.
If the disk doesn't play properly on the PC (but the files you get from DVD Shrink do) assume that you are using poor quality media.
A consistently reliable blank is Verbatim (not their 'Life Series') - get the ones that say 'Advanced AZO' on the package.

Oki. Well. I downloaded what you suggested, but honestly, this really didn't help me at all. This is not my first time burning, so I suspect something else is the problem here. Thanks any way.

Although, I love both the downloads you suggested, just FYI. Unfortunately, some kind of weirdness is happening here. Will keep at it...
