After burning to hard drive the insert disc is prompting me to insert a dual layer disc instead of the single layer I have been using for years. I have been using 6.2.0.5 for two weeks with no problems until now. Any help please

The BPI Are: SONY, UNIVERSAL, WARNER GROUP, EMI.
The RIAA Soundexchange Are: SONY, UNIVERSAL, WARNER GROUP, EMI.
The IFPI Are: The same anti consumer lot as listed above!
The MPAA Are: SONY, UNIVERSAL, WARNER GROUP, DISNEY, PARAMOUNT, FOX.

I'm not sure where to find "backup" dvd but when I go to settings dvd to dvd the default output size is set to dvd9 and the quality choice on the burning page is set to dvd9 but when I insert a dvd blank to copy to I get the message that I need a dual layer blank. I've been using dvdfab for years and have never seen this before. Is there some setting I should change? I did turn off pathfinder.
