Hello Guru's.
My original problem that I posted about a week ago was that I ended up with a zip file after DVD shrink had done its job. I removed 7Zip from my program folder but the resultant iso file when burnt to dvd by imgburn failed to load in a player. Having found no solution and accumulating a pile of useless failed dvd's I installed imgburn on my wife's computer. (DVD shrink was already installed some months ago.)
It all worked perfectly.
I would appreciate to know how best to carry out some detective work to understand what it is about my HP 6930p running XP that fails to work compared to my wife's acer aspire 5920 which is running Vista which does work.

Most likely is the DVD burner in your HP computer.
