every time i try to backup the dvd files and create a .iso image file, it consistently keeps creating a rar file, which i can't burn to the dvd for playback...
You elect to Backup as an iso file, browse to a location, select name.iso and you get name.rar as the output?
If you unzip the .rar file, what's inside?
Many compressors (winrar, 7zip, etc) can open an .iso and when they install the program, they just allow that program access to everything. So its still an .iso as DVDshrink doesnt create .rar, it only has the same icon as a rar.
