I have DVDShrink, I believe it's 2.0. I converted a WMV file to ISO, but when I ask the Shrink program to open the file it can't find it. If I use the start button & "My Computer" I can locate the file, but the window in Shrink doesn't show it anywhere. Anyone know why this is?

I typed the file name as it appears when I go to "My Computer" & click on the "Documents & Settings" folder. Sorry, Didn't mean to hurt your "ears" Must be a difference between all caps & capitalizing every word in a sentence. Oh, were you trying to help?

Open Files never shows ISOs, only File > Open Disc Image (CTRL-I) does also from version 3.x on IIRC.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding here so lets start over. I have a wmv file downloaded that I want burn to DVD, I have DVD Shrink & Aimersoft DVD creator. As I understand I need to convert the wmv to iso. How to do that is what I think I'm missing. I thought I had done it, but apparently did something wrong, so if someone can help with that I'd appreciate it immensely.

Berryone, I've already downloaded 2 programs that purport to do the same as this one. I'd just like some help to use the software I already have. Thanks anyway. For anyone new to this thread, is there a way to do this with DVD Shrink 3.0. Aimersoft DVD Creator, & Imgburn? I need to convert a wmv file to a file that DVD Shrink can find, shrink & burn to DVD with Imgburn.

If You Use DVD Flick To Convert Your File to Iso and Imgburn to Burn It To Disc, I'm Sure it will Be Fine.

Flick has a Guide at this Site

Shrink only opens MPEG2 material in VOB/ISO format and no WMV crap.

Actually you weren't. I was just frustrated with everybody giving me the same advice with different programs I should download & before I got the one you suggested I'd already downloaded two new ones & paid 35 bucks for one of them. Afterdawn isn't the first posting I've done about this so please understand that by the time you came along, I'd already been given a pantload of bad tips. But it's all OK now, thanks my new buddy. If I ever have another problem like this, I'll know exactly where to go. Thanks again.

Right. It was no help to tell you that what you tried to achieve with DVD Shrink wasn't possible with DVD Shrink? Get real, weirdo.
