I'm a newbie and I'm using dvd decrypter and dvd shrink.....having problems fitting it on a dvd 5 which the moive is a dvd9. It doesn't shrink it enough to fit on a dvd, is there a way to make it fit without haveing to re-author it and loosing some of the files? I see some people are using ripit4me but I downloaded it and it didn't seem to install properly....any help would be greatly appreciated:)

What Do You Mean RipIt Doesn't Seem to Install Properly?

Did you Try Removing the Audio Files You Don't Need?

The RipIt application didn't work properly but I downloaded it again and now it runs fine.....I did remove some audio files and the dvd fit fine. Where I'm a newbie do you have any idea which audio file is better besides DTS and AC3 5.1?

Which is better between LPCM 2-ch & AC3 2-ch??

Any input would be cool.....

Always go for Movie Only, AC3 5.1 and your native subtitles....the rest is "crapola".

I question why you can't get it to fit, shrink automatically from install is set to compress to 4.35,the movie itself if that's all you selected in the titles won't be over 7gb which would give a compression of around 59%,from memory shrink has a setting that lets you increase from 4.35,also why are you using dvd decrypter that hasn't been updated in years dump it,neither has shrink for that matter, use dvdfab hd decrypter it's free that'll take care of the protections, rat dvd will do the rest it can also keep the menu's intact, which by the way can be processed with menu shrink which removes only the animations & saves quite a bit of space.

Lastly you really need to read the guides at the top of this web page & then experiment with this n that,oh yeah not to forget imgburn,it's the updated part of the burning engine for dvd decrpter if you feel the need to use dvd decryp

Hey thanks scorpNZ I did install dvdfab HD decrypter and image burn, I used dvd shrink and I was able to keep everything including all the audio files, and the picture quality seems to be just as good as the original, thanks again! Cheers:)
