Hello,
Sorry if this thread is not directly related to DVD Shrink.
I have a couple of Region 2 DVDs that I bought overseas. They are PAL movies, and I would like to make back ups in NTSC.
Do you know if this is possible? Are there any programs out there that can do it?

First, you have to rip the disk to the HDD - but if your burner is a different region code from the disk, you can only change your burner region code five times then it gets locked at the last region you selected.

I believe that AnyDvd (if it's running in the background) will allow you to play/rip the disk without changing the burners code.
(there's another alternative if you can locate hacked code for the burner - but that's another story).

AnyDVD isn't free, but I think it has a fully functional trial period.

After the disk is ripped, you can start to convert it to NTSC.

The DVD is now in my hardrive. How can I convert it to NTSC?

Shrink the DVD with DVD Shrink.

You can try this method, it's fast - but it may not play on your standalone.

Alternately, use VOB2MPG to convert the main title to one large mpeg2 file, then load that file into DVD Flick and have it output an NTSC disk.
