I have been having the most trouble with rerelease (1966) issue of the classic SOUTH PACIFIC. (Mitzi Gaynor) I have tried DVDSmith, (ISO image), DVDShrink and burn with Imgburn,(ISO Image) - ANYDVD, 1click DVD, etc, etc.

I have even Drag & Dropped VSO files from disk to HD. Surprisingly, it played on the computer.

They ALL produce a playable product on the computer. When I attempT to burn - it CRASHES! Anywhere from 3% to 35% complete. Even MOVIE ONLY.

It's always a I/O ERROR.

Any suggestions

Does ImgBurn produce a log.

One thing you could do with ImgBurn to check communication between the burning program and the burner is to load the files as usual, but insert a DVD-R disk and check 'Test Mode' - it doesn't write to the disk, so nothing lost..

I' not sure if it does or does not produce a log.

As I was driving around doing my weekend activities, I thought of just that. "TEST MODE"

With that, "What if I still get the same thing"?

Along with the I/O ERROR notice, it shows me a whole pile of numbers that I don't have a clue what to do with them.

The best thing I can think of doing is to take a picture of my screen. It shows up on my MAC as a PICT file. Easy enough to change it to a jpg
