Hey, I'm trying to backup 2 different movies and I'm a little confused about compression..

I have 2 different movies and both are exactly 2 hours in length (give or take a few mins), I chose to keep only the menus and main movie and AC3 5.1 AUDIO on both backups..

So basically in Clonedvd2, DVDFab8, or DVD Shrink, both backups look damn close to identical... however one backup gives a 68% compression and the other 85%... how is it possible to be so different in percentages when they are almost identical on paper...

For the record, both play back with excellent quality but why the difference in compression?

Because the video material has completely different action and the tools use different algorithms? Also Shrink's percentage shows not the amount of compression but the amount the video is compressed to.
