I've tried to copy Salt using several software modes without success. When I use DVD FAB HD Decrypter, FixVTS and VOB Blanker I get messages that there are interleaved files that have never been encountered and the resulting file is not viewable. When I use Magic DVD Copier the result is a disc that is not playable. The compression is from 7.7 GB to 4.7 GB which certainly doable but the result is an unplayable disc. Is there something I am missing here? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I updated to DVD FAB 8 and ran the disc again. I thought all was going well when the disc ran through DVD Shrink 3.2 and showed that the there was enough space to copy onto one dvd disc but then when it ran DVD Decypter the following error message came up:

I/O Error
Device{0:1:0] NEC DVD_RWND 3550A 1.05(E) (ATA)
Scsi Status 0X02
Iterpretation: Check Condition

Is there anything further to attempt to remedy the situation?

In DFab Do Movie Only, Output To ISO File Burn With Imgburn.

(Quality Setting Set to DVD 5)

Leave Shrink and DVD Decrypter Out of the Loop.

It's Always Possible You Have a Faulty Disk.

I had no problem using RipIt4Me 1.7.1.0 and DVDD 3.5.4.0 by hitting 1-click mode. Banged it into Shrink and burned w/Nero Express Essentials.

Zip, Zap. Zoop!

Whoever assembled RipIt4Me is my decoding hero(ine)(s).

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep.
But I have promised to keep, and miles to go before I sleep.

EDITED TO ADD: WHOOPS! No audio track on the disc I made, back to the drawing board.

OKAY on third look, I do have audio in the regular Theatrical cut but not in the Director's cut. So maybe my cleanup of the VOB's was a little aggressive or I missed something in the Shrink process...

At least I can confirm that the method of RipIt4Me/Shrink/Burn did indeed produce a watchable copy with audio on the Theatrical track.

Meh.
