I have Vista (with all updates)and have used DVD Shrink with almost no problems. Lately, it will lock up at various percentages done. Couldn't backup Ugly Truth, Proposal, Transformers 2, My Life In Ruins, and a few others. Anything I try with it lately will not work. Any ideas? I didn't know if any recent updates caused problems??

Dvd Shrink is unable to back up many of the recent new releases. If you want to go the free route, use DvdFab Hd Decrypter. Just be aware that it will lag behind the paid for version in terms of updates. If you want to go the pay route use DvdFab or AnyDVD. Both are excellent programs. Also in the future you may want to use the search function.

That was my other thought, that newer dvd's were "harder" to decode.
