Hello, I am looking for a program that will let me rip a dvd with DVD Shrink (Either ISO or VTS) and convert them into mp4 files.

I'm not sure if I should start another thread for this or not, but I will post it here for now. I am also looking for a program that converts .avi files into files that will burn to a DVD. Preferably without losing any quality, but if it is still watchable, that's fine.

Thanks in advance,

Nicky1204

Ok best bet is use guides at top left of this webpage & 3rd link in

DVDFAB HD Decrypter is free if you need to rip the later protections which shrink can't,if you want to keep the menu's you can use ratdvd it's basicly shrink looking,to reduce menu size use menu shrink all free (menu shrink only removes the animations in dvd menu's not the menu itself so it now becomes a still menu, there will be a backup created if you need to restore changed menu

convert avi to dvd i think it's dvdflick or AutoGK can't quite remember which does what, again free

Thank you very much, I will check out DVDFAB and I will do a little bit of research on dvdflick and AutoGK, to decipher which program is better. Thank you very much.

I do not know of an all-in-one program, such programs tend to be crappy in my opinion.

You could use DVDfab as suggested above to rip, then for encoding to MP4 A/V, my favorite program is HandBrake:

fab works fine as an all in one (paid version)however converting requires a dual core & plenty of ram if you don't want to spend 3-6hrs per movie with dual pass..lol..that's where torrents come in
