I was wondering if anyone has run into any problems with their DVD drive wearing out from backing up DVDs and also what is the best kind of drive to use for backing up? thanks

I use a DVD burner to rip most DVD's nowadays but i still use my trusty 6 year old CD-writer/DVD-ROM combo drive for ripping, it just goes on forever.
At the end of the day it's best to have more than one drive, sometimes you come across a disc that either won't be recognised in one drive, or have read errors for no reason at all, and another drive will be fine. Hence why i have a few different optical drives.
