Can't burn Disneys Race 2 Witch Mt.
Shrink (on reauthor) pulls up 50 chapters over an hour long - coaxing you to guess WITCH ;) is the real movie title.
Rip it 4 me does something similar - will tell you not to do "movie only" b/c there are too many "episodes."
Any ideas? Can't find this anywhere. Gotta wonder.

AnyDVD didn't have any problems opening this movie in NeroRecode. It took a little longer because there are a lot of DRMs on the disc.

What has happened to this site?
In the past if a problem did exist with backing up you purchase, there were numerous people who had ideas on how to solve the problem.
Now it seems many have either decided to abandon this site or have gone to another site. If it is another site what is it?

It's not that.. the simple answer has been given.. USE MODERN RIPPING SOFTWARE...

I haven't posted the core of my work on this site... because I don't want to tell every n00b on the planet exactly how to read a css key or dump a psl file from every disk.. plus it would most likely get the site taken down and the owners in big trouble.

There are no new protection methods around which the established current rippers can't handle.. so why do YOU need other ideas??.. there aren't any.

Guess you wouldn't be such a whiner if you had taken the time and trouble to learn as much about dvd protection strategies as I have.. 15 years learning and coding on top of 25 years experience of copy protection trickery and defeating it .. and you want it on a plate... don't think so.

varnull pretty much summed it up. I might add that some of the people posting here for answers don't have enough sense to check the dvd for scratches or dirty thumb prints. Doesn't matter what software you use it's not going to rip.

Nero Recode is the offspring of DVD Shrink. Shrink hasnot been updated for years. It worked fine in the past yes, but things change and you need to adapt to the present. Ripit4me was a great program while it lasted, DVDDecrypter was fantastic, unfortunately neither are updated anymore. AnyDVD, DVDFab are a couple of the more popular choices for ripping a DVD at the moment. Keep Shrink, but use it in combination with AnyDVD and you'll be fine. Just my 2¢ worth.

Shrink like decrypter are dependencies.. old libraries of routines that because they are established and free avoid modern software writers running the gauntlet of releasing programs with "illegal" decryption strategies included.. when you take any-dvd apart you find the ri4m psl dumping routine pretty much unchanged.. I guess it lives on inside modern apps.

As somebody who was named in a DMCA action a few years ago for working on copy protection stripping software I'm very wary what I let out into the public domain these days.
I don't use fab or any-dvd.. and there isn't anything yet my homebrew tools and command line routines haven't been able to rip.. yet.. bring it on Disney.. I love your screwy menus and vobs out of order stuff... always fun for a sunday afternoon.

Anyhow.. I saw a trailer for this film.. is it any good?

Rumour has it Varnull is keeping Mickey Mouse in a glass bottle in her backyard shed somewhere. Makes the rodent squeek when they bring out a new copy protection scheme. But seriously, get ahold of AnyDVD and say ASTALAVISTA to any more problems with shrink not running through the latest encryption schemes. Or, invest years of your life like our Goddess of bytes has done.
Cheers.

Ok, I've been beaten up enough. I'm sorry I asked a stupid question.
Please forgive me. It will never happen again.

@rookie75, you might think you are being beatin' up on, but they did answer your question. "The only stupid question was the one not asked." The people that replied are some of the best here at AD.

Have a nice day.
