Hi, I have been attempting to re-author a dvd and leave out the trailers etc. via the "frame feature" and have repeatedly messed up and am not sure what I am doing wrong. I seem to be only copying the material that I want to exclude in my confused use of the slider bars for the frames?
I have googled for a solution and can't seem to find out what I am doing wrong.
I would appreciate suggestions,
Thank you.

Normally, if you 'Re-author' you select the main movie by dragging it from right to left - that way you only get the movie - nothing else.

The problem is that the trailer is part of the main movie and I see that when I go frame by frame and I have mistakenly tried to rid of the trailers by setting the frames to stop and end with them and end up recording the trailers and nothing of the movie and so I know that I am doing something backwards as I want to exclude the trailers "frame by frame" and record only the main movie?
I tried what has been suggested, by dragging and dropping the Main Movie and I end up with the Main movie and the trailers which is what I don't want.
So I thought that I should post to see what I am doing wrong with my handling of the "frame settings".
Thank you

This query is specifically in reference to DVD Shrink use.
It is not about how to in general reauthor and so I thought that I should mention this.
Thank you.

Move the 'Start frame' slider to where you want the movie to start and the 'End frame' slider to where you want it to end and click 'OK'.

I had that problem also. I experimented. Found I had to click in reverse for it to work for me. Set end first then beginning then click middle of clip to be deleted. I think I did that on AVS Video Remaker
