Had to use RipIt4Me > Shrink > Imgburn to back up Sherlock Holmes, Region 1, released 30 Mar 2010. DVDFab versions 6 or 7, both main movie and whole disk options, on two different computers, would error out on the burn DVD step. My guess is the problem with DVDFab and this movie DVD are the extraneous 16,000+ pack headers that RitIt4Me removes.

Sherlock Holmes was a snap with AnyDVD and NeroRecode which I used. Shrink cloneDVD or others would have worked with AnyDVD I'm sure -have em all didn't try em.. Break down and BUY AnyDVD and your problems will be solved forever. Nothing wrong with Fab (I have it also-paid) just sometimes it's late with updates to new movies.

What version of AnyDVD are you using? They have a new version yesterday but I did it with the previous one. You may also try free version of HD Fab Decypter at
http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm
You must be doing something wrong or the disc is dirty or scratched because no one else seems to be posting problems with this one.

anydvd 6.6.1.5 & I've tried the DvdFab 6 & still couldn't. Anydvd would get to 88% & say theres an error. DvdFab 6 will read all the way but then it goes to right says theres an unexpected error & can't right. Is HD Fab Decrypter gonna be any different?

Try: DVDFab 5
Even if the Right Tittle Angle is #9. Using DVDFab 5.2.2.2 Path Player Off. The Main Movie it show as #1 only...no any other to choose from.

You are using a version that is way out of date as the Anydvd version is up to 6.6.3.2. If that is a legit copy then d/l the updated file and rip to HD then use whatever software you want to use to shrink it

Yes, but I am having issues with this version, too. Like other posters, I get through the rip just fine, but I get a failed to burn message when it goes to burn.

I saw that DVD Fab is now up to version 7.0.3, and even with that update, it is still no dice.

Shrink and your old Nero will do this movie with uptodate AnyDVD. Take the DVD back and get a new one!
Right click the redfox in the lower right by clock and select to "rip DVD video to hard drive" to a temp folder then use Nero Recode to open files. If it can be ripped to the HDD and not be backed up, then I would suspect something's changed in your pc to cause this. How old is you burner?

If you ripped the DVD to the HD first and then NeroVision can not compile the DVD then either you are doing something incorrectly or the rip was flawed as it could be a bad disk

Burner is not even a year, bought last July. Checked to make sure there wasn't a firmware update problem or something but there isn't. Gonna try to rip it then nero. thanks for the help everyone

I am kinda new to all this, but I used DVDFab 6.0.4.0 and tried to burn it to a DVD-DL. It worked a lot better and got up to 100%, but wouldn't finalize. I tried using ClonDVD2 to burn the folder to a DVD-R. It stopped at 77%. I'll try Nero Recode. Just out of curiosity, why is this happening?
