My disclaimer -- I'm not the most techo-savvy person on the block. But I can (usually) burn DVDs.

I can put in a DVD to back up, Shrink will analyze it and let me choose Full Disk or Re-Author. It doesn't matter which I choose, when I do, I get the hourglass icon. Forever. It won't do anything else. Doesn't even give me an error message; just keeps the hourglass going. I can't even quit Shrink; I have to shut down the machine. I use this software all the time -- until now, that is.

Anybody got any ideas?

Alternatively, I have Nero and Imageburn, but what else would I use to shrink the DVD down so those can burn it to a DVD? Because the message I get with Imageburn is that there's not enough room on the disk.

Thanks to all you folks who help when folks like me run amok.

Shrink is outdated when it comes to decryption.

Try using DVDfab Hd to decrypt/rip the DVD.
http://www.dvdfab.com/mlink/download.php?g=DVDFAB6

Then use DVDShrink to finish with.
