CAN ANYONE HELP????
I can copy a DVD using shrink onto a blank DVD -R and play it back on windows XP but cannot play it on my panasonic DVD HDD (it comes up with the message disc incompatable/unsupported).
Does it matter that i recently purchased a new computer and had to reload a new version of DVD shrink?
Have you checked in the manual or online if it likes -R discs?
As PCH_Dude said, what blank disc (Brand name and rated speed) and how fast did you burn it?
Sorry to take so long to respond.
Thanks guys for responding. The DVD HDD is a panosonic model no DMR-EX88 and the disc are vebetim 4.7gb 16x dvd-R. I burnt the last movie on shrink at 16x speed (not max) and have always done it the same way before i got our new computer and reloaded DVD shrink 3.2. The movies that we burnt previously using shrink do work on the DVD player that we got now.

It could be one OR two things. My first guess is that you've made a coaster (a bad burn). Memorex branded discs are not very good out there, maybe try burning another one might resolve the problem. The second guess would be; since you've bought a new computer, the new drive might work differently than the old one.
When I got my new laptop two months ago, the DVD Drive (Tsstcorp) couldn't rip certain discs so I went and use the one from my old PC (LG) and it did the job fine.
If it still gives you problems like this, then maybe you might want to swap the drive -- assuming the plugs fit (SATA>SATA, etc.), or resort for "warranty work" from your computer mfg.
I too owned a Panasonic recorder; the DMR-EH55S with a 200GB HDD and so far its got no problems reading/writing discs of any media type and/or brand, as a matter of fact, it has been working great with 16X Memorexes.
Thanks for the response again.
I have found that shrink copys the dvd movie to the hard drive of my computer. I was given a file called clone which lets me copy the movie onto a blank dvd. The movies that i have watched since have had no gliches when watching it, so i will keep going with this routine until something better comes up.
Thanks for all your advice guys.
