This started happening a few weeks ago and it's random. Using DVD Fab I get the message "copy completed successfully" but when I put the DVD in to play it only goes as far as the menu but there is no movie or if I select scene selection it just goes back to the menu. If I put the copy back in the computer and go through the whole burning process sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The computer acts like the whole movie is there and takes about 9 minutes to go through the process as usual. I've tried several different DVD players and the situation is the same. It doesn't seem likely that it's the burner but what else could it be? I'm using taiyo Yuden blanks at 8X.

Try having DVDFab rip to your hard drive saving the video file as an ISO image, then use imgburn to burn the ISO image file to DVD.

Doesn't that kind of defeat the supposed simplicity of using DVD Fab? It's marketed as a one stop solution to copying DVD's. Is this is a real problem with the software DVD Fab? Are others experiencing this situation?

Not a universal problem. I have dvdfab7 and anydvd and there is nothing they have not been able to handle. Usually changes like this occur when someone runs a registry cleaner or changes some setting.

I agree. This problem really has me puzzled. I also have DVDFab7 (latest version) and I have had this happen on Daybreakers and From Paris with Love. I just now put the copy in and DVDFab went through the entire burning process which took about 15 minutes from the "Insert Blank Media" message to the "Burn Successfully Completed" message. The new copy would not progress beyond the menu. When I hit play it goes back to the menu. Scene selection will come up but when I choose any scene and hit play it reverts back to the menu.

Just Stop using DVDFab as: "All in one" and do it the way we most do; It takes extra steps but is word it !

DVDFab > Shrink > Burn....etc,etc.

Live Free or Die.
The rule above all the rules is: Survive !
