Might be a new one, I looked around of course. I ripped my movie with paid version of Fab, cleaned it up with Fixvts and when I went to move those to Shrink, it error messages "Shrink encountered an error, failed to open file yada yada yada The system cannot find the file specified". Here's the rub: My VOB files now all have the VLC (VideoLan) "traffic cone" icon on each one as though they're now associated with VLC? I have my preferences set to "ask me" on all media as my default setting on my lappie. Any Love kids?
Thank you on this glorious day (yep, too many Red Bulls this AM(-;/
DVD Shrink doesn't care what program VOBs are associated with but it's really picky about standard conform files. So you might accidentally have caused DVD Shrink not to recognize the files when manipulating them with FixVTS.
Oh, thanks CW, any ideas? Ran it pretty much by the book, DVDFab rip, fixvts code n shrink, don't think I made any customizations either. It was however my first "split" movie. If there were 20 files on my rip, I only put the four 1.gig VTS-VOB in fixvts (the biggest 4 files after a rip), I left out the BUP, the IFO etc, only dragged the large files into it.
PS Love you guys, if I call my closest friends they don't get back to me as fast as my AD family. Loyalty here is amazing.
