i have ripped/copied dvd onto my computer but cannot seem to watch it using Windows media centre or media player. The audio and video files are there, but it won't play. Any ideas?

try vlc media player , it plays most of the files ,if you have backed it up and its still in vob and bup files vlc still plays it but wmp will only play certain files even if you create an iso image file out of your video_ts and audio_ts wmp might not play it so download vlc player and it shoud work

missing MPEG2 codec...vlc works a treat for any file you toss at it, but also (or instead) you could download k-lite codec pack as it gives you that and a bunch others you probably need.
