I'm working on a custom DVD re-author, using .m2v and .ac3 files demuxed from the source disc using DVD Decrypter in IFO mode.
The problem I have is this: remuxing the original source audio and video produces a DVD which plays perfectly until about 1:08:00, at which point the video suddenly goes out of sync with the audio - it lags about a second or so.
I have tried all the tricks I know (which, admittedly, aren't many), and multiple applications (GUI for DVDauthor, muxman, IfoEdit, TMPGEnc DVD Author) to see if one would produce a different result, to no avail.
I've done a number of reauthors in the past (though I'm hardly an expert) and never come across this issue before. My guess is there must be some vital information which needs to be copied from the source IFO set, but my head begins to spin at the thought of trying to navigate those waters unassisted.
Has anyone got a suggestion? I'm at an impasse and appreciate any help offered - thanks in advance.
Resolved the issue by using TMPGEncDVD Author to cut several blackened frames from the source video at the spot where the trouble starts. Not the most ideal solution, but it worked.
