I have been asked to take several short films (all supplied to me as DVDs) and convert them to one DVD so they can be projected on a screen and played continuously one after the other. I have a final cut pro, DVD studio pro and iDVD. What is the best way to do this to produce the best quality? and should i ask for these movies to be supplied as mpeg or mov first?
thanks heaps!

I am not familiar with the software you mentioned, but DVD Flick can do it without any quality loss(you say the movies are already in DVD video format).

Hi yes i am doing this on a Mac. Although i just looked up DVD Flick and it looks good. Yes all the movies are already in DVD. Would DVD Flick be able to have all movies running consecutively? perhaps i should do this on a PC?

Yes, all movies would run consecutively.
The reason why I recommended DVD Flick is because is free, and has an option not to re-encode the DVD compliant videos, thus preserving quality.
The programs you mentioned might be able to do the same thing, I am just not familiar with them.

When you rip the DVDs to your HDD, create one single VOB file per DVD (DVD Shrink can do that).
Here are the settings you need for DVD Flick:

I really don't know how it will behave,if it will re-encode or not some titles based on your settings.
