Cutting sections out of a DVD

Hi all
I have been using DVD shrink for taking small sections out of the film for presentations. I am now using an Imac and using mac the ripper and DVD remaster as my engines. They work quite well in order to copy the movie and place it onto another disc. I do not however, know how to take sections out of a film using these tools. Am I using the right tools and if I am or am not could you tell me how to do it or where I might find the information to help me.
