I am trying to convert .avi to DVD file first time and I have some questions.

1.If I try to convert avi to DVD file, should the size be 12GB?

2.If the converting result should be 12GB, how can I put it on 4.GB DVD? o.0

My message maybe(probably is) weird, but I can"t understand this avi to DVD thing good. So try to explain this 700mb to 12GB please. ^^
