DVD's won't play in Blu-ray player

I have been using ConvertXtoDvd to burn my movies to dvd. They work in my regular dvd player but I can't get them to play in a Blu-Ray Player. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks, much appreciated.

It maybe has something to do with the Region Code. Are you using PAL or NTSC? Also what blu-ray player do you have?

Or it might have to do with the burning process. Have you tried booktyping the DVD to DVD-ROM? I would also use Imgburn for burning, after creating the dvd files with convertxtodvd.
