You cannot convert to DVD and create a DVD Video without increasing size. Your friend was correct.
If you want to keep the size and play on a DVD player, then you need a Divx certified player, a PS3, XBOX...
If you want to convert to a DVD Video with Nero, you need to use Nero Vision.
A free application to do the same job would be DVD Flick.
Piss me off, and I Will ignore You!

I am not sure I understand exactly what you're asking...How long it takes to convert?- it depends on how fast your computer is.
As for the size of the converted video, it depends on what the quality of the output you choose.
If you want to put 2 or 3 videos on one disc, it will fit, but the quality will be lower.

yeah 3 hours if your using my old pentium 3.
as for size i know using dvd flick it makes the divx files bigger(when converting to dvd) but i dont understand how you lose quality when fitting more than 1 on a dvd.if the original file is 700mbs and your not making the file smaller than the original why does it lose quality??

the 3 hours thing is a joke just a bit of sarcasm.could take you 40minutes could take you an hour maybe a little bit longer.it shouldnt really take you 3hours.not sure how long it takes to convert multiple files to dvd.the more files the longer it will take.
