I have a digital camera that I use to shoot SD video at 30fps. I'd like to convert these progressive videos to DVD but I'd prefer NOT to convet to NTSC 480i at 29.976fps. I'm wondering if I can convert them to 30fps 480p... if so

1: what software can I use...

2: will such videos create problems on older NTSC TVs?

Thanks!

Try FAVC - but an older CRT TV may not play it because it isn't interlaced.
NTSC DVD is 29.976 fps after conversion.

Thanks for responding Attar. The reason I wonder if progressive files might work is that I've heard that some standard DVDs contain CGI segments that are progressive even if the rest of, say a movie, are interlaced. So I wondered if the NTSC DVD players can interlace on the fly if needed.

I'll check out FAVC.
