Im trying to mod my friends psp for him. Im fairly experienced with this kinda stuff. When I put in the pandora with the MMS his screen stayed black...hmmm maybe it is just a bad battery or MMS??? Noo!! I tried the same pandora and MMS in my psp and it went to the install screen...Could somebody please tell me wtf is goin on.

He has a PSP 2001 with 4.01 ofw

It could be he has an unsupported motherboard or your MMS is outdated make sure you have the latest DC8/MMS program. The newer ones add support for different motherboards. Remove battery and check if it starts with HU#.
