80020148 psp error problem

I am using psp 2000 on a system i have a firmware 3.71 m33-3 when i try to play some downloaded games nd click on the games the screen goes black and gives me the error " Game could not be started(80020148)" please give me the solution for the same cuz each and every new games i have downloaded gives me the above error ....

The games you are trying to play may require a higher CFW. What games are they?

Well i dont know wheter its a cfw u mean to say customfirmware games is it ... but its a latest games which i have downloaded from torrentz and one of ma friend told me that if i update 5.00 m33-6
this problem will be resolved .. so it it .. need ur advice if u can help me or any suggestion ....

update now to 5.50 GEN-A, -B, -B2, then make sure the games are patched or patch them, there are already posts in this forum about it if you scroll through them.

okk so u mean to say that i should upgrade my psp to 5.50 gen ?? to be more specific and to be secured would like to inform that i am having psp 2000 and the firmware is 3.71 m33-3 .. so if i upgrade can i downgrade it later ???
