Hello Afterdawn users, I've been out of the PSP scene for awhile and I just need to get some info before I attempt to downgrade my PSP. Don't worry I've read up some about the issue. I looked at the forum tuts but none of them touched on the issues of ChickHEN and all of that.

Firstly, I've read from different places that ChickHEN can or can't play .iso/.cso/etc., I just want a definitive answer if it can or can't.

Second, I know if you completely power down the PSP it will be out of ChickHEN mode. So does that mean I have to do the whole process again? Specifically I have to be at a computer to run PSP-CFW GUI?

Lastly, I have a Pandora's battery but I know the mobo has to be TA-88v2 or less, as long as it's the correct mobo the firmware doesn't matter right?

I apologize for all the questions but I saw a PSP (3000 I think) yesterday while I was hunting for used PSPs. It had a firmware model 5.03 and at first I turned it away but now I'm considering going back and buying it since I heard the chances of finding Pandora compatible PSPs nowadays is slim.

ChickHEN won't play iso or cso. The developing was against piracy. The work around is using CFW enabler to enable the psp to boot into M33 CFW or GEN CFW.

Shutting down or rebooting the psp does remove chickHEN, but if you use CFW Enabler GEN version. Using a program called Sedna patches certain files allowing you to retain HEN/GEN, but not 100% of the time. And you don't need to be at a computer to activate HEN.

Pandora battery work with mobo under TA-88v2 or below and TA-90 only no matter what firmware you have.

If you buy a used PSP if the serial starts with HU2 you better hope it has 5.03 or below. Most other serials like HU0 or HU1 can be modded via pandora.
