So my little brother is a PC whiz and hacks everything. He has talked about getting a PSP for a year now and he has not yet so I have decided to get him one for Christmas.

I was thinking of the GT or Bloodlines bundle but not sure about the firmware and breaking them. Can anyone tell me a sure way to get a PSP so my brother can go to town?

He almost bought aused fatty on eBay a few months back but I talked him out of it.

i dunno i'm very partial to the psp2000 series... one prior to the ta88v3 motherboard... so it can be permanently hacked with pandora battery ...

Can the 2000 still be bought new anywhere?

Also, if I find a 2000, are there any serial numbers I should be aware of?

OK, I just found someone on CL who has a white vader that is used but near mint, they will part with it for $75, seems fair plus I read all the white Vader's where good to go for modding, true?
