Hi guys,

So I've found on ebay a refurbished PSP 2001 slim for only 75 bucks and ordered it. When I've got it and checked that it was working fine, I've ordered a pandora battey from dealextreme. Slim, 3.5v 1200mAh.

So, I went into and tried to follow many tutorials but I can't get this pandora to work. No matter what I try, the results are all the same, memory card on, pandora on, psp power led goes green, black screen, I can press any buttons, nothing happens.

I've tried NewbieInstaller, all 4 options, PSP Grader, and also manually, same results.

Also tried putting the battery while holding the L trigger button, but it's all the same ... green light on, black screen, I can press any buttons and nothing happens.

What am I missing?

I don't know what is the mainboard version, PSPIdent doesn't run ("corrupted data"), and I don't have the original box.

The stamp with the bar codes on the botom says:
AB025814194-PSP2001

On the battery place:
- Serial NO: HU2581419

It has the 5.51 firmware installed on it.

Thanks for your help...

Yep, just did the test and the result confirmed a TA-088v3 board.

So, one more question ... I've a good knowledge of electronics and I could try to replace its motherboard. Do you know what are the models that would fit on the PSP 2000 slim?

Thanks,

sure you can replace it, but unless you are fixed on the case, i would just buy another one, sell that one on ebay.
