Hi all

Sorry as I am sure my question gets raised alot, and please excuse me as I am sorta new to this!

I have a PSP2002 slim which currently runs Official Version 3.90 firmware.

I want to change to custom firmware in order to play games via the memory stick (which I've recently purchased)

What do I have to do???

I do have a fat PSP1001 which is currently running 5.50 GEN-B (FULL) if that helps?

Also, how do you get to the recovery menu on the slim 2002?

Last question first: You are on official firmware on the slim, so you don't have a recovery menue by now.

About the downgrader: You either need a pandora battery and a memory stick or forum search for chickHEN.

Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

I can make a pandory battery in recovery mode via 5.50 Gen-B Full, is that right?

Do I have to do anything to the memory card?

I dont want to have to cut the battery open.

Isnt there another way I can do it using my phat PSP? Like i said, i can create a pandora battery via the 5.50 Gen-b FUll recovery, isnt that right??

So I need to basically create the magic memory stick, isnt it as simple as pasting all the files from another stick already? And then I have to change from OFW to CFW...

I would really recommend chickHEN, you don't have to mess with your battery then. Or if you want to go the pandora battery way, order one from www.dealextreme.com, they are way cheaper than buying a new original battery if you accidentally kill the one you have at the moment.

Then when running this command - msinst X MSIPL.BIN

I get the following error:

Target DRIVE is 2
Check partation sector
Cannot open device \\.\PHYSICALDRIVE2
Can't read partation sector

Once again... any ideas?? Has it got anything with me trying to run it on vista?
