CTF Themes for 3.90 CFW

I have searched the web for reasons as to why I cannot get my CTF themes to work on my PSP. I cannot update to 4.01 CFW because then some of my games don't work and the gameboot also stops working so I'm stuck with CFW 3.90. When running 3.90, all of the games work and the gameboots but the CTF themes don't. However, when I go to my themes, I have no CTF themes that are displyed. If I go to MS0:/cxmb/config and type in a theme that is in the directory of MS0:/PSP/THEME such as PSP/THEME/EON.CTF or PSP/THEME/ALIEN.CTF without typing in "ms0:/" in front of the PSP/THEME/*** then once I reboot my PSP then that theme begins to run. Can anyone help me figure out how I can get my themes to displays? btw - I have reinstalled this firmware a couple of times already so reinstalling won't work.
