I'm currently running custom firmware 5.50GEN-B2.
I purchased dissidia, but everytime I goto load, just get an error message saying the game could not be started.
Is there a work around, or do I have to wait for a new CFW?
I'm tempted to just update to the OFW of 5.55 which I'm assuming is the problem as there is no CFW above 5.50? And it needs 5.55 to run?
If I did want to goto the OFW 5.55, can I do that straight from the UMD, or is there a specific course I must take to avoid bricking.
Lastly, if I goto OFW 5.55 is there anyway back to CFW?
No pandora is needed to go to official firmware, just choose the option (make sure the battery is charged), this does need 5.55 it will then work, however you will have to repandora to get back to custom firmware
Hello Kyokudo,
First of all, let me tell you that I am also a Final Fantasy fan, and so, I decided to give you some advice...
First of all, the best part of it all is that you have custom firmware, and one thing that custom firmware does best is read ISO's. What I did was turn my UMD to ISO, and in ISO mode, the game does NOT require 5.55 firmware. Also, the game run much smoother off the ISO, as well as having faster loading time because it's running out of the memory. Hopefully this helps you out, and that way, you don't have to switch back and forth from CFW to OFW. ;p
p.s. Dissidia iso size is about 1.5g, so get a good size memory before you do so.
