Downgrading a Fat psp using a Slim and Pandora

Ok, so my Nephew accidently upgraded his firmware when he got Dissidia and overwrote the CFW I put on for him ages ago (he's only 9 :D) He'd like to get CFW back and be able to play GBA and PSX games like he used to.
He's now at 5.55 OFW PSP 1000, so I can't use the ChickHEN method since he's higher than 5.03, so I must use the pandora way. I know to use Pandora I need another PSP running CFW, which is my Slim GEN-D3. I'm able to make and restore a Pandora battery easily with this just by using the VSHmenu.

Ok, so here's my question. Would I be able to Pandorize his fat battery in my slim and then using it with the MMS it'd go ok? I've never used Pandora to downgrade anything before so this is a first for me.

as long as you can make the pandora battery you should have no problems. you can make the mms using your gen-d3 as well, pop that in the phat hold down left trigger and insert the pandorized battery. takes about 5 seconds for the screen to pop up follow the instructions. i just did one of these the other day. it was running 5.50 ofw and i installed straight to gend3 worked like a charm.
